I think you&#039;re asking how you play the CAGED shapes an octave higher.  You can slide them up 12 frets.  Some CAGED shapes are easy to shift (E, A, and D).  Others are hard to shift (and still play all 6 strings), such as C and G.  The good news is that these chords double notes, so you can omit some to play part of the shape.  Look at the notes and figure out what you can fret without open strings.
